Waite Hill council adopts two ordinances and two resolutions, including 2025 appropriation ordinance

The council then read and adopted Resolution No. 2024-16, “A Resolution authorizing and directing the payment of certain sums.” Following that, the council read Resolution No. 2024-17, “A Resolution requesting the County Auditor to advance taxes in accordance with the Ohio Revised Code, and declaring an emergency.” Mr. Steudel moved to adopt Resolution No. 2024-17; Mr. Knezevic seconded and the measure passed by unanimous roll call.
The meeting moved next to Ordinance No. 2024-20, an amendment to the 2024 annual appropriation ordinance. Ms. Hiltsley moved to suspend the rule requiring three separate readings; Ms. Winterer seconded and the suspension passed unanimously. Mr. Steudel then moved adoption of Ordinance No. 2024-20; Mr. Scheucher seconded and the ordinance was adopted by unanimous roll call.
Council then considered Ordinance No. 2024-21, which provides appropriations for Village expenditures for the fiscal year ending Dec. 31, 2025, and declares an emergency. Mr. Steudel moved to suspend the three-day reading rule (seconded by Mr. Knezevic); the council approved suspension by roll call. Mr. Steudel then moved adoption of the ordinance, Ms. Winterer seconded, and Ordinance No. 2024-21 was adopted by unanimous roll call.
