The Warren Local Board of Education on Aug. 22 approved financial reports and payment of bills for July 2024 totaling $2,814,287.57 and accepted investment earnings of $785.35 to the Permanent Improvement Fund.
Under Resolution 63‑24 (motion by Mr. Allen, second by Mr. Crum), the board approved the minutes from the July 25, 2024 meeting, payment of bills and other expenses for July, and the district’s financial reports, including investment balances and cash position. The motion passed 5–0.
In a separate action, the board approved Resolution 64‑24 (motion by Mrs. Greenup, second by Mr. Roush) authorizing participation in a cooperative procurement through META Solutions to advertise and receive bids for two 71‑passenger conventional school buses. The resolution notes that participation in the cooperative and advertising for bids does not obligate the district to purchase the buses. That motion also passed 5–0.
The agenda packet lists the Treasurer as recommending the financial approvals; the board recorded unanimous votes for both items. No dollar amount for bus procurement was committed at the meeting; the resolution covers only authorization to solicit bids.
