Archuleta County School District adopts 2024–25 budget, approves administrator and teacher contracts

The Archuleta County School District No. 50 Jt Board of Education voted June 25 to adopt its 2024–25 Appropriations budget and to renew administrator and teacher contract lists.
District finance staff displayed a summary of the proposed budget and said program funding, per-pupil funding and revenue figures were unchanged, while the expense side rose slightly to cover a second new special-education teacher and a small salary-schedule adjustment. "There were no changes to the program funding to the per pupil funding or the revenue; just a slight increase on the expense side to account for the second new special education teacher," said Eric, who presented the summary.
After the presentation the board moved to approve two resolutions: the Appropriations (the budget as presented) and the use of beginning fund balances as outlined in the documents, with salary schedules included. The motion was seconded and approved by roll call.
The board also approved administrator contract renewals for principals and administrators as presented and approved three personnel contract lists (special service providers, non-probationary teachers and probationary teachers) in aggregate. Board members indicated no objections during discussion and each measure passed by roll call.
