The Town of Surry Select Board approved several routine items at its May 7 meeting, voting unanimously on liquor-license renewal, a new road name, a committee appointment and town warrants.
The board voted to accept the Under Canvas liquor license renewal; Chris moved to accept and Pat seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mary moved to approve the road name Blue Raven Lane, off Granite Rock Circle N; Chris seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The board also appointed Kathy Tracy as Surry’s additional representative to the 3-Town Steering Committee for the Housing Opportunity Program municipal grant (Pat moved; Chris seconded; passed unanimously).
On municipal finance, the Select Board approved payroll warrant #67 ($10,198.22), accounts payable warrant #68 ($47,038.31) and electronic payment warrant #69 ($133,819.76), which included school warrants listed in the electronic payments. Mary moved to approve the warrants and Chris seconded; the motions passed unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 7:29 p.m.
