Clerk reports Casa Italia camp visit and village sticker-sales update

"This time last year we had sold 735 stickers, and we have now at 620 stickers sold so far," Clerk Laura Cassidy-Hatchet said. She noted the village sold the first $300 sticker and the first $200 sticker under Amended Ordinance 25-07.
The clerk told the board that children between the ages of 5 and 12 visited the village to learn about government jobs from an immigrant's perspective; during their visit they toured village facilities, received snacks, and returned the following day for a tour with the Police Department. The mayor added that participation in the camp is not limited to children of Italian descent.
The board approved the Clerk's proposed 2026 observed holidays and the 2026 Board meeting schedule on roll call; both motions were moved and seconded and passed with four Aye votes and two members recorded absent.
Why it matters: the visits represent local civic outreach and education; sticker-sale figures provide a brief municipal revenue signal compared with the prior year. The clerk did not report programmatic changes to sticker pricing beyond noting first sales under Amended Ordinance 25-07.
