Village committee reviews two bids for pavilion sandblasting and painting

Mayor Beniamino Mazzulla told the committee he recommended selecting D & R because the Vision proposal did not include sandblasting, an element the mayor and Trustee Teets said was important for the work.
Trustee Teets also presented an outstanding Vision Construction invoice (Invoice #4139) for $41,922.62 for the committee's consideration. The minutes record these documents as items for Board consideration but do not record a formal vote on contractor selection at the committee meeting. The committee minutes indicate the matter would be brought for approval during the board meeting that followed committee deliberations.
Because the record does not show a formal award of contract or a board vote on contractor selection at the June 24 committee meeting, the recommended choice remains the mayor's recommendation rather than a final decision of the Board.
