Director of Public Safety Chris Pavini reported that replacement engines for four squad cars, ordered because of a manufacturer recall, have been delayed and are now projected for completion by October. Pavini also announced that Corporal Amin has been assigned to an external task force outside the Village and is no longer on street patrol as of the meeting date.
Office Manager Aracely Gutierrez said the automatic withdrawal program for water bills, launched in January 2025, had 25 enrolled accounts in March and increased to 53 accounts by May 2025, and Clerk Laura Cassidy-Hatchet estimated the village would save about $802.20 per year if postage rates increase as expected in July. Fire liaison Jack Giuffre presented April fire and ambulance activity; Building Commissioner Robert Gonzini said the restaurant Encanto at 1700 Mannheim Road has not yet received a business license but will open once licensing is complete.
Public Works Superintendent Jessica Ramirez summarized Clean-Up Day operations: staff replaced a broken brush on the sweeper, retrieved a serviced Jetter, cleaned the Stone Park Sports & Entertainments Facility, decorated the Memorial Day parade float, placed 'No Parking' signs along the parade route and completed Memorial Day cleanup. Ramirez reported eight resident calls related to the Clean-Up Day event. The minutes record no public comments or new business and note the meeting adjourned after a unanimous motion to adjourn.
