Council reviewed earlier amendments to regulate skill games of chance and moved on to proposed changes to permit above‑ground pools on adjoining vacant lots and to allow removable sheds up to 144 square feet provided they sit on gravel, skids or pillars and are removable; front‑yard setback rules would still apply while no setback from an adjoining property line was proposed. Solicitor Tim Wachter was asked to draft suggested text for the Zoning Ordinance and bring it back to council for review.
On parking, council discussed removing front‑end parking in Municipal Lot #2 and asked the Street Supervisor to calculate how many angled parking spaces could be accommodated if the layout changes. Council also reviewed the RT‑97 project engineering and inspection budget: a grant included $10,000 for engineering and inspection, but staff warned that extended project duration or discovering rock during excavation could require additional monitoring and thus additional costs.
Council did not adopt ordinance language at the meeting and directed the solicitor and staff to prepare formal proposed amendments and further cost guidance for the RT‑97 project.
