Auditor Romanko told the council the foundation grants will provide body armor for the police department, dive gear for the fire department and painting work at the municipal pool. "I just want to acknowledge the Hardin County Community Foundation and thank them for, the Police are getting some body armor. The Fire applied for dive gear and the pool has some painting that will be done thanks to the Community Foundation," Romanko said.
Council first voted to suspend the three-reading requirement on the ordinance (motion by Councilman David Beazley; second by Councilwoman Sue Buroker). The suspension motion passed by roll call (six ayes). Council then moved to adopt Ordinance No. 24-008 (motion by Mr. Beazley; second by Chad Miller); the adoption passed by roll call (six ayes) and the ordinance was enacted as an emergency measure.
