Thomaston Cemetery trustees elect Fitzpatrick as chair, name Rod Grindell vice chair

Ryan Fitzpatrick was elected chair of the Thomaston Village Cemetery Trustees at a June 26 meeting, following nominations that also included Ron Gamage. The vote was recorded 6–1 with Trustee Pete Lammert abstaining. Rod Grindell, who had been serving as co-chair, was selected as vice chair by unanimous voice vote.
The trustees accepted the May 22, 2025 minutes as amended (motion by Sue Christensen and Ron Gamage). During the meeting Fitzpatrick, speaking for the board, formally thanked outgoing Chair Sandy Moore for organizing volunteer cleanups, initiating window replacement and avenue sign projects, and for work on upgrading the cemetery database.
The meeting opened at 4:00 p.m. in the Select Board Room of the Thomaston Municipal Building. Trustees scheduled their next meeting for July 24, 2025.
