Tremont Select Board to research Pacific Hall transfer, confirms administrative appointment

The Tremont Select Board voted on Oct. 21 to ask Town Manager Jesse Dunbar to consult the Town Attorney about transferring ownership of Pacific Hall back to Morgan Churchman, to place the transfer on the FY26 Town Warrant, and to allow American Legion Post #69 to continue using Pacific Hall until Town Meeting. The motion was made by Kevin Buck, seconded by Howard Goodwin, and passed unanimously.
Also during regular business the board confirmed the appointment of Katie Parsons as Administrative Assistant, Deputy Registrar of Voters and Deputy Clerk. The confirmation motion was made by McKenzie Jewett and seconded by Eric Eaton and passed unanimously.
Town Manager Jesse Dunbar provided a brief verbal report on town employees’ activities since the last meeting. The board placed a safety building discussion and a Seal Cove ramp repair (concrete block replacement) on the next meeting agenda. The board confirmed its next regular meeting for Monday, Nov. 18, 2024 at 5 p.m. at the Town Office and adjourned at 5:28 p.m.
