The Select Board on May 12 approved a set of routine business items, including a special-amusement permit for a Harley Davidson event and renewals for a local restaurant's permits, and signed the town's accounts-payable and payroll warrants.
The actions were procedural and unanimous. Select Board member Susan Sargent moved to approve a Special Amusement Permit for a Harley Davidson event scheduled for May 30; Select Board member Danielle Cole seconded the motion and the board voted 4–0 to approve. Later, Cole moved and Judy Sproule seconded renewal of Currents' Special Amusement Permit; the board approved that renewal 4–0. Sproule then moved and Susan Sargent seconded approval of Currents' liquor-license renewal; that motion carried 4–0.
The board also approved and signed the accounts-payable and payroll warrants as presented. Susan Sargent moved and Danielle Cole seconded the motion to approve the warrants; the vote was 4–0.
Earlier in the meeting the board approved the April 28 minutes as amended. That motion, moved by Susan Sargent and seconded by Judy Sproule, passed 3–0–1 with Select Board member Danielle Cole recorded as abstaining.
No controversies or substantive policy debates accompanied the votes; the items were presented as routine motions and carried by the attending members. The meeting adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
