Tremont Select Board approves warrants, surplus property sales and MMA leadership votes

Tremont — At its Aug. 12 meeting the Tremont Select Board approved assorted administrative items including multiple warrants, the sale of listed surplus property, and a recommendation for Maine Municipal Association (MMA) leadership positions.
On a motion by Kevin Buck, seconded by McKenzie Jewett, the board approved FY24 Warrant #128 for $92.50 and FY25 Warrants #6 ($15,507.79), #7 ($15,367.90), #8 ($6,071.58), #9 ($15,123.09), #10 ($291,428.38), #11 ($1,686.06), #12 ($968.85), #13 ($24,200.19), #14 ($13,526.76), #15 ($13,852.79), and #16 ($40,670.72); the motion passed unanimously.
The board also reviewed an itemized list of surplus property that included an Echo brand pole saw (works, sold as is), a Stihl chainsaw (works, sold as is), a Simplicity snow blower (works, sold as is), a Husqvarna lawn tractor with bagger (works, sold as is), a utility trailer, a metal screener, a backhoe bucket and a bookshelf. Kevin Buck moved and McKenzie Jewett seconded a motion to approve sale of the listed items as surplus property; that motion passed unanimously.
Finally, the board voted to cast Tremont’s support for Justin Poirier for Maine Municipal Association Vice President and to support David Cyr, Michele Varuolo and Matthew Garside for the MMA Executive Committee; the motion was made by Kevin Buck and seconded by McKenzie Jewett and passed unanimously.
