The motion to appoint Cohen was made by Select Board member Kevin Buck and seconded by Select Board member Eric Eaton. Select Board members McKenzie Jewett and Howard Goodwin recorded the dissenting votes.
Earlier in the same agenda item, the board unanimously approved the appointment of Ashley Closson to the Library Board of Trustees, with her term set to expire June 30, 2027. The library appointment passed after a motion by Select Board Vice Chair McKenzie Jewett, seconded by Kevin Buck.
