Trenton Select Board approves Jan. 20 minutes and payroll warrants; fire chief reports eight recent calls

The Trenton Select Board met on Feb. 3, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. and approved the minutes from its Jan. 20 meeting and the accounts-payable and payroll warrants.
John Bennett moved to approve the Jan. 20 minutes; Judy Sproule seconded the motion, which passed on a 5-0 vote. Later in the meeting Bennett moved to approve and sign the A/P and payroll warrants; Danielle Cole seconded and that motion also passed 5-0.
In a departmental update, the Fire Chief reported eight recent calls, including three fire-related assistance responses in Ellsworth and Bar Harbor. The chief said a scheduled Fire Academy practice was canceled because of those responses and will be held next weekend. The chief also reported meeting with the Community Committee earlier in the week.
Under Other Business, Select Board member Judy Sproule briefed the board on two committee items. She said the Community Resilience Committee plans a public workshop on Feb. 24 and that housing remains on the committee’s radar. Sproule added that the Comprehensive Plan Committee has met twice and hopes to present names and information to the Select Board on March 31.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:12 p.m.
