The Village of Arcanum council on Feb. 24 adopted Resolution 2026-05 authorizing a lease agreement and services addendum with Woodhull, LLC and declared it an emergency. Council Member David Hartley moved to waive the three-reading rule; Council Member Tammy Bruner seconded and all present council members voted yea.
Admin. Specialist Julie Miller explained the rationale: to retain the village's business Woodhull negotiated a monthly reduction of $300, will upgrade two machines at no charge, will provide a tri-fold folding machine at no charge, and the vendor will apply a $1,900 credit with US Bank. The addendum also consolidates the Village’s machines under a single five-year contract rather than multiple contracts.
Council adopted the resolution and the emergency declaration to expedite finalizing the consolidated contract. The meeting minutes do not list detailed contract language or long-term cost projections; those will be contained in the exhibit to the resolution or the executed contract.
