Randy Baker suggested better cleaning; Village Administrator Marcus Ballinger said the bucket could be used for other departmental projects but noted the purchase is not in the current budget and that an extra employee would likely need to be called in during snowfall to operate the Bobcat.
Council also discussed winter parking and safety: VanHoose raised concerns that on-street parking during storms makes street cleaning harder, and Hartley said snow piled at corners has reduced sight lines. The approved attachment and staffing adjustments are intended to reduce the time alleys remain uncleared, though council did not specify a funding source beyond approving the purchase.
