Town opens hearings on Dalewood shopping-center site plan and fire-protection contracts

At its Oct. 22 meeting, the Greenburgh Town Board opened and then closed a continued public hearing on an amended site plan by Brixmor SPE 6 LLC for the Dalewood shopping centers and opened hearings on intermunicipal fire-protection agreements.
Garrett Duquesne, commissioner of the Department of Community Development and Conservation, introduced the continued Brixmor hearing and noted the matter had been continued from Oct. 8. Colette DeLauro, the applicant's civil engineer, described changes made in response to public safety comments: relocating ADA parking stalls to improve access to new retail and grocery tenants and reconfiguring a set of 88 parking stalls away from the main drive aisle for safety.
The board voted to close the Brixmor hearing and left the record open for seven days to allow further written input. The board also opened hearings on two intermunicipal agreements with the Village of Ardsley to provide fire protection for unincorporated areas (contracts for both 2024 and 2025 were read into the record with payment amounts). Those hearings were likewise left with the normal public-comment period and procedural follow-up.
No substantive public objections were raised in the meeting record on these items and the hearings were continued in the ordinary course for staff review and the completion of the record.
