Village Administrator Marcus Ballinger presented a personnel request from the Utility Superintendent for a part‑time general labor position called in as needed. Council Member David Hartley moved to hire Michael Flatter at $15.50 per hour with a maximum of 20 hours per week, effective April 14, 2026. Council Member Tammy Bruner seconded the motion and all present council members voted yea.
The position is intended to support seasonal mowing and assorted labor tasks for the village. The decision followed routine administrative reporting; council also reviewed check registers and other administrative materials provided in the council packet.
No members of the public spoke on the hire during the meeting. The council recorded the vote as unanimous among members present.
