Council Member David Hartley moved to appoint Chloe Price; Council Member Eric VanHoose seconded. All five council members present — David Hartley, Ryan Burns, Jerry Boolman, Eric VanHoose and Tammy Bruner — voted in favor.
Earlier in the meeting the council voted unanimously to enter executive session to consider the potential appointment of a public official. The minutes state the council discussed candidates in executive session but took no formal action while in session and later voted in open session to make the appointment.
Council Member Jerry Boolman opened the meeting and led the Pledge of Allegiance. Fiscal Officer Karen Deao and Pamela Ferguson were recorded as present. A council member announced that one of the three candidates who had submitted letters of interest withdrew before the appointment vote.
Council Member Hartley moved to adjourn at the close of business; Council Member Tammy Bruner seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The meeting notice in the minutes lists a 7:00 p.m. start time and records the meeting as adjourned at 6:28 p.m.; that end time appears to be a typographical inconsistency in the record.
No ordinances, resolutions or other formal actions were recorded beyond the motions to enter and exit executive session, the appointment of Chloe Price and the motion to adjourn.
