Keith Parsons, chair of the Willistown Township Environmental Advisory Council, confirmed volunteer staffing and logistics for a community shredding event as part of the council’s April 14 meeting. The shredding event is scheduled for April 18 at Greentree Park, running from 9 a.m. to noon; volunteers will cover two shifts (9–10:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.–12 p.m.).
Council members named volunteers for the shifts: Ken Lehr and Kristin Dormuth for the first shift, with Kristin Dormuth and Keith Parsons listed for the second shift. The group noted that a prior battery recycling effort had been funded as a one‑time state initiative and that future battery collection would require Township funding.
The council also confirmed a fall E‑waste recycling event for Sept. 26 at Greentree Park and agreed to staff outreach at the June 30 Greentree In Tune & On Tap evening event. For that June event, the council tasked Ken Lehr with finalizing plans with Township Liaison John Holback for a reusable‑straw giveaway and asked Secretary Kristin Dormuth to prepare a new survey and an opt‑in email list to build an EAC contact list.
The minutes for the March 10 meeting were approved at the start of the session; no vote tally was recorded in the minutes. The meeting adjourned at 8:09 p.m.; the next EAC meeting is May 12, 2026.
