Castine selectboard approves FY24 warrant totaling $264,825.59, OKs FY25 and water warrants

The Castine Selectboard approved multiple warrants and routine items during its July 1 meeting, including a $264,825.59 FY24 General Fund Warrant that covers 57 bills and a $94,780.79 FY25 General Fund Warrant, both approved by unanimous 3-0 votes.
Roberta Boczkiewicz, who moved approval of the FY24 warrant, said it covers 57 bills including $112,000 for paving projects and $56,000 for storm repairs, "which we anticipate receiving about 90% back from FEMA reimbursements." The motion to approve the FY24 General Fund Warrant passed 3-0, with Gordon MacArthur, Roberta Boczkiewicz and Dan Leader voting yes.
Gordon MacArthur moved approval of the FY25 General Fund Warrant in the amount of $94,780.79; Roberta Boczkiewicz seconded. Roberta said that warrant includes payment to Peninsula Ambulance and allocations to several service agencies. The board approved that motion 3-0.
The board also approved a Water Warrant for $9,426.61 on a motion by Roberta Boczkiewicz, seconded by Dan Leader; the vote was 3-0.
Other routine actions: the Selectboard approved the June 17, 2024 meeting minutes (motion by Roberta Boczkiewicz, seconded by Dan Leader) and granted an Amusement Permit for a Leach engagement party at the Castine Inn on July 13 (motion by Gordon MacArthur, seconded by Dan Leader). Both motions passed 3-0.
All formal motions and recorded votes at the July 1 meeting were unanimous 3-0 in favor of the items described.
