The staff member noted there are rules about how excess revenue may be spent and that some grants are targeted to districts with higher poverty measures; with the district at about 20–21% free/reduced-price meal eligibility, some opportunities may be unavailable. The board acknowledged the update and the staff member said she would continue to pursue grant opportunities.
