Castle Hill Select Board — meeting roundup: minutes, warrants, assessors, code enforcement and poverty-abatement denial

The Castle Hill Select Board approved the minutes of its May 14, 2025 meeting on a motion by Select Board member Maylen Kenney, seconded by Herman Condon; the motion passed 5–0. The board also approved Treasurer warrants #37–45 on a motion by Kenney, seconded by Scott Cheney; that motion passed 5–0.
The Board of Assessors reviewed and signed the County Tax Bill; the Select Board record shows a vote to approve the County Tax Bill with a recorded tally of 3–0. The minutes do not explain the 3–0 tally; the meeting attendance list recorded five Select Board members present.
Town Manager Sandra Fournier provided an update on code-enforcement activity. She reported that the Willette property is being cleaned up but that a camper has been placed on the lot, and that several junkyards are being cleaned up. The board also confirmed that a letter denying a poverty-abatement application had been sent to the resident; the letter informs the resident they have 60 days to appeal to the County Commissioners.
The board set its next Select Board meeting for July 9, 2025 at 7:00 PM and scheduled a Joint Select Board meeting for July 15, 2025 at 6:00 PM. Chair Shari Cheney adjourned the meeting at 7:31 PM. Minutes were submitted by Treasurer Lisa Foster.
