Among items recorded in the resolution were an insurance/bonding increase in the General Fund ($6,630); $295,875 to professional/technical services to cover additional email and system backup costs; Street Fund $500 for natural gas at the shop; and Park & Recreation small supplies ($398.31) and $12,000 for repairs and maintenance related to a prior year contract. The motion passed by roll call with all present members voting yes.
Public‑health and IT items: Council renewed the annual mosquito‑spraying contract with the Fairfield County Health Department at the same per‑mile rate as last year (reported as $75 per mile), which the administration said will amount to roughly $150 to cover the village’s limited roadway miles. Council also approved restoring two deleted email accounts (pool and zoning) and accepted estimates for setup and annual fees.
Economic and community items: Council approved renewing membership in the Lancaster‑Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce for $500 annually and discussed festival infrastructure improvements, including an estimate of roughly $16,000 to extend electric service at the park; staff will pursue grant funding for the festival electrical work and may consider a local match if required by a grant program.
Donations and acknowledgements: Council adopted two resolutions (582502 and 582503) expressing gratitude to the village of Glen Willow and the city of Reynoldsburg for donating surplus 2019 and 2017 Ford police vehicles, respectively.
