The council said some work at the community center has been reimbursed: the village received a county reimbursement of $155,000 for repairs including concrete and door replacements; final sealing and finishing work is expected by month’s end. Staff noted that some permit-related fixes — fencing between the pool deck and building and concession-stand window work — must be completed for the health department’s seasonal permit.
Mayor Henderson and staff characterized the changes as inconvenient but manageable and emphasized that the village will reallocate funds within the grant’s allowable activities rather than forfeit the money.
