Indian Hill board approves routine business: minutes, donations and personnel items

The Indian Hill Exempted Village Board of Education approved routine consent and financial items during its regular meeting, including minutes, personnel actions, donations and transportation purchases.

Board members moved to approve the superintendent's report, which included the Ohio High School Athletic Association reauthorization, two overnight field trips (a science trip to Ecuador and the Galápagos and a swim team trip), personnel changes including a staff member (Latif Johnson) returning to a counselor role effective Aug. 1, and the hiring of a new EMIS coordinator, Rehea Anderson.

The treasurer’s report and financial statements for the month ending Jan. 31, 2026, were presented and approved. The board authorized purchasing two school buses through the Southwestern Ohio Educational Purchasing Council and approved payment for two buses priced at $170,360 each.

The board also accepted multiple donations: booster contributions for athletics and arts and two $25,000 gifts from the district foundation earmarked for lacrosse and football, respectively. Trustees accepted the retirement of Jen Anders, who has served the district since 1998 in multiple roles, including reading specialist and media specialist.

Policy items included a first reading on entrance requirements and the kindergarten admission cut‑off; trustees were told clarifications on the new state law are expected before the second reading. The board also passed a resolution to move the June meeting from June 23 to June 15 at 6:30 p.m.

What’s next: Staff will process approved contracts and personnel changes, proceed with the bus purchases and continue the policy second reading and superintendent search outreach.
