At its Jan. 7 meeting the North Canton Planning Commission elected officers for 2026 and approved its calendar and previous meeting minutes.
A motion was made and seconded to name Mr. Delpes chairman and Mr. Sarah co‑chairman; commissioners voted yes. The commission reviewed the circulated 2026 meeting calendar (first Wednesday of each month) and agreed to move the July meeting from July 1 to July 8 to avoid the July 4 holiday week; that calendar change was approved unanimously. The July 9, 2025 meeting minutes were submitted for approval, motioned and seconded, and approved by the commission.
With administrative items completed, the commission moved to the public hearing portion of the agenda to consider a development review for a new Fire & EMS facility at 447 North Main Street.
