Sharon DEI Committee moves forward on Discover Series outreach and website refresh

At its May 14 meeting, the Sharon Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee advanced plans to broaden outreach through its Discover Series and to refresh the committee’s Town of Sharon web pages.
Sayjal Patidar Menon presented drafted design materials and a matrix of prospective community partners for future Discover Series events. Committee members completed portions of the matrix during the meeting and accepted outreach assignments to contact the listed communities.
Separately, Jillian Jennett led a page-by-page review of the DEI Committee’s Town of Sharon website and identified sections that need updating. The committee agreed a working group should handle the revisions; Jennifer Illuzzi and Jillian Jennett volunteered to lead that effort.
No funding allocations were finalized at this meeting; members discussed timelines and volunteer assignments and agreed to report progress at future meetings.
