Windsor Select Board authorizes town manager to sign FY2025 audit engagement letter; discusses Planning Board secretary and AI note tool

At the May 13 meeting, Town Manager Theresa L. Haskell told the Select Board she had received the FY2025 engagement letter and supporting documentation from RHR Smith & Co. for the audit ending June 30, 2025 and requested authorization to sign the documents. The board agreed that Haskell should sign the engagement letter.
Select Board member William Appel Jr. also reported that Nancy Fish has stepped into the Planning Board’s secretary role. Appel said he would like to try an "AI" tool he purchased to compile notes during Planning Board meetings to evaluate how well it works for recording and summarizing proceedings.
No formal vote on adoption of the AI tool was recorded in the minutes. The board held two executive sessions under 1 M.R.S.A. §405(6)(A) to discuss personnel matters and adjourned at 8:12 p.m. The minutes were later approved on May 20, 2025 and the next regular meeting was scheduled for May 20, 2025 at Windsor Town Hall.
