The Indian Hill Exempted Village School District Board of Education held its annual organizational meeting and oath ceremony on Jan. 6, where it swore in new and returning members and elected officers for 2026.
Mr. Davis administered the oath of office to Tim Schwiker, who pledged to "support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Ohio" and to "faithfully and impartially perform the duties" of a board member for the district. Nolan Marks and Barrett Tullus also repeated the oath as returning members.
Following the oath ceremony, the board adopted the organizational meeting agenda and conducted elections for board officers. Barrett Tullus was elected president for the 2026 calendar year after nominations and a roll-call vote. Rob Warful was nominated and elected vice president; the board completed the roll-call votes as the election process closed.
The board also announced committee assignments for the year: Rob Warful will chair the Instruction & Technology committee with Nikki Singh serving on it; Nolan Marks will chair Operations with Tim Schwiker as a member; Nikki Singh will chair Personnel & Professional Relations with Tim Schwiker as a member; and the Finance & Audit committee will include the president and Nolan Marks. The board noted that committee meeting schedules will be announced and that the committees are expected to meet more regularly this year.
The organizational session recessed briefly for a group photograph and reconvened for the board's first regular meeting of 2026.
The board adjourned the organizational portion after approving routine housekeeping items.
