Residents push Crosby ISD to move Foley Road bus stops into subdivisions, citing blocked emergency access and child‑safety risks

Edward Lutz, speaking on behalf of the Lake Shadows Civic League, described Foley Road as a two‑lane road that currently serves as the only ingress/egress for the Lake Shadows subdivision and said construction in adjacent subdivisions has added bus stops that cause congestion; Lutz urged moving stops into the new subdivisions for the 2026–27 school year so children would not wait on Foley Road.
Lake Shadows resident and WCID 70 board member Rick Vega reiterated safety concerns, noting lack of sidewalks and numerous vehicles striking mailboxes, and said children waiting at roadside stops are ‘‘an accident waiting to happen.’’
Trustees did not take a formal vote on bus stop locations at this meeting but heard the concerns on the public‑comment record and may refer the matter to transportation staff for follow‑up.
