Adams Township supervisors on Jan. 12 set public hearings for two proposed ordinances and approved a change to zoning enforcement procedures.
On motions recorded at the meeting, the board set a public hearing on an Arena/Indoor Recreation Ordinance for Feb. 23, 2026 at 5:00 P.M., and set a separate hearing the same evening at 5:00 P.M. for a Townhouses in Overlay Ordinance. Both motions were made by Supervisor Ronald G. Nacey, seconded by Supervisor David M. Goodworth, and recorded in the minutes as passing with "All were in favor." The hearings give residents an opportunity to offer comment before the board takes further action.
During new business the board also voted to add "Zoning Enforcement" to the agenda by motion of Ronald G. Nacey, and subsequently approved conducting zoning enforcement through the magistrate on a motion by Ronald J. Shemela, seconded by Ronald G. Nacey. The minutes record unanimous approval for both steps.
What’s next: The board will hold public hearings on Feb. 23, 2026; details and any proposed ordinance texts were not included in the meeting minutes and should be sought from township staff or the agenda packet if needed.
