The Norridgewock Airport Committee voted to assemble a master list of hangar-owner contact information and to launch a regular, quarterly newsletter to improve communication and encourage compliance with lease terms.
Committee members said the first step is to consolidate existing contact records so notices and newsletter issues reach all hangar owners at once. A committee member asked Richard to provide a printout of hangar-owner information; Richard said a town-generated list is available "as of April 1 of each year" but acknowledged updates will be needed.
Members debated cadence and content, agreeing that a quarterly schedule is most realistic to sustain participation. One member volunteered to draft an introductory email and initial newsletter content drawn from meeting minutes; that draft will be reviewed by the group before distribution.
The committee also discussed using the townwide quarterly newsletter as an additional channel for airport news and outreach. Glenn, who joined the meeting by phone, offered to host a social event at his hangar and said he would "be happy to... sponsor it, pay for the food" to help build camaraderie among owners.
The initiative grew out of a broader lease-review effort in which a member is extracting recurring lease requirements to include on a bulletin or sign. Committee members said better, regular communication will make hangar owners more aware of lease obligations and reduce nonaviation uses of hangars.
Next steps: Richard will provide the available owner list and the volunteer will produce an initial draft message for committee review before the first distribution.
