Students and former players urge Green Bay board to keep Coach Rosinski; coach delivers emotional plea

Former player Eddie Boyce said Rosinski coached multiple generations of his family and described Rosinski as someone who "loves all the players." Jim Hayes, who said he was Rosinski's assistant coach for 23 years, told the board Rosinski won 217 games for the district and asked that the coach be reinstated.
Rosinski spoke at length about his career and service to students. He said he has coached in the district for decades, described fundraising and outreach ("I started Silent Night, which I think is probably the greatest accomplishment… I raised almost $80,000"), and characterized recent public criticism as sustained harassment. "I've received and I've counted these 726 texts, emails, calls from all over the state," he said, and told the board he had collected about 110 petition signatures in his favor. Rosinski asked the board to look "from a human perspective" at what is best for kids and asked for a clear statement if the district believes he is not good for students.
The comments were delivered during the public forum; board members did not take a formal vote on the coach's status during this meeting. The public commenters and the coach framed their remarks around students' well‑being, long personal ties to the district and community support.
