The Chickasaw County Board of Supervisors approved a series of routine fiscal and procedural items June 15, including the sale of a surplus pickup, a temporary construction easement, payroll claims and employee wages.
The board accepted sealed bids and voted to sell a 2005 Chevy pickup to the high bidder (bid recorded as $885) and authorized the chair to sign the title transfer. The sale was approved in a roll call; one member recorded an abstention during the count.
The board approved a temporary construction easement with Chloe and Beth Parker after a motion to approve carried by voice vote.
Payroll claims dated June 12, 2026, were approved, and the board approved a claims batch totaling $600,553.51. The board also approved a proof-of-signature reimbursement of $1,002.80 from a supervisor's budget to the Pioneer Cemetery Commission related to a trailer sale on April 20, 2026.
On personnel matters, the board approved fiscal-year 2026โ27 employee salaries/wages for payroll purposes on a motion by Isaac, seconded by Travis. Members clarified hourly versus salaried classifications for certain positions during discussion.
