Owners of the Hilty Faithful Foundation building, Zach Buckland and Evan Schroeder, presented an amended floor plan and a revised annual rent proposal of $14,382 for the new space, which the minutes say is about a 21% increase from the new 2025 annual rent of $11,880 at the current location. The discussion also covered how utilities would be calculated and the proposed lease term, but those terms were not finalized in the meeting record.
The Village Council and the Township Trustees agreed to review the presented material and deferred any decision on the library’s lease until the Jan. 28 council meeting. In the interim the council authorized the fiscal officer to continue paying the current monthly rent of $890 for the existing space.
