The Planning Board elected a new chair and vice chair and approved corrections to draft minutes at its Oct. 21 meeting.
Jeff Eldridge, who was nominated and then confirmed by the board, took the gavel and said he was "happy to be chair for the town of Denton." Liz Patterson was nominated and approved by the board as vice chair; members also confirmed Patterson as clerk for the current term.
The board debated whether to run votes in roll-call (Zoom) format and confirmed that, with everyone present physically, routine voice votes would suffice. A member volunteered to cover clerk duties if needed.
On the May 20 draft minutes a board member requested a specific phrasing change to clarify that "the board has been aware of this project coming before it for roughly 6 to 8 months by the town planner under current and long range planning notification." The board approved the revised wording and then proceeded to accept minutes from July and August with minor typographical edits noted.
The new chair confirmed logistical items for the coming month and set the board’s next meeting for Monday, Nov. 4.
The meeting then moved on to land-use and permitting items on the agenda.
