On May 13 the Pandora Village Council approved a one-time calendar-year forgiveness for a resident’s April water bill that resulted from an undetected leak (motion by Mr. Gray, seconded by Mr. Fricke; voting: All Yea).
Fiscal officer Kimberly Reese told council there was another resident with an unusually high April bill who had already received forgiveness on two prior bills and so was not eligible for another forgiveness under existing practice. That resident asked whether the village would permit partial payments on the high bill. Council members said the Water/Sewer Ordinance does not allow partial payments; the minutes record a consensus not to allow partial payments.
The minutes do not cite the ordinance section number or provide further details about collection terms for the denied partial-payment request.
