Caribou County commissioners adopt Resolution 1211 to record $11,726.43 reimbursement and balance funds

Caribou County commissioners adopted Resolution 1211 on Nov. 29, 2012, to amend the fiscal year 2011–2012 budget to record $11,726.43 in unanticipated revenue and authorize transfers to balance county funds. Commissioner Phil Christensen moved to adopt the resolution; Commissioner Earl Somsen seconded the motion and the vote was 2–0 in favor.

The county record states the $11,726.43 was received from the Idaho Sheriffs Association to reimburse Caribou County for expenses associated with eradicating a marijuana grow operation found in the county during fiscal year 2011–2012. Under the adopted changes, $1,771.02 will be transferred to Fund 34 (County Court Facilities Fund) to cover higher-than-anticipated expenses in that fund, and $29,795.73 will be transferred from Fund 9175 (Vessel Account Trust) to Fund 135 (Waterways) to balance expenditures in the Waterways Fund. The transcript notes that monies supporting the Vessel Account Trust are deposited by the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation and transferred to the Waterways Fund at year-end.
