On Aug. 13 the Parkway Local Board of Education unanimously adopted Resolution No. 2508005, approving revised salary schedules for secretaries, the nurse, the head cook and the cafeteria manager that change eligibility criteria for family insurance.
The motion, moved by Bryan Schoenleben and seconded by Les Nichols, was recorded as passing 5-0. Under the revised schedules, employees who work eight hours per day for a minimum of 186 days will be eligible for family insurance coverage. The minutes do not list estimated costs or budgetary offsets associated with the change.
Board members discussed and voted on the revision after returning from an executive session on personnel; the minutes do not disclose the content of that executive session. The change will be implemented by administration and the treasurer’s office per standard payroll and benefits processing.
