Commission reappoints two IDA members, approves 4-H funding and DOT grant; tables budget amendment and CUP
Summary

The Commission of the Unified Government of Cusseta'Chattahoochee County approved several personnel and funding actions at its Aug. 6 meeting.
Reappointments: The commission unanimously reappointed Walter Miller and Linda Beck to five-year terms on the Industrial Development Authority; both resolutions were adopted by motion and recorded in the meeting materials.
Funding and grants: Commissioners voted unanimously to approve renewal and funding for the county's 4-H program and to accept a DOT roundabout relocation grant. The meeting record shows no dissent on those items.
Budget and land-use items: Commissioner Jason Frost moved to table a budget amendment; the commission voted to table the amendment unanimously. On a conditional use permit (CUP) for 110 Stagecoach Rd., the commission moved to table the item to Dec. 3, 2024 (or until judgment is reached); Commissioner Damon Hoyte abstained from that vote.
Executive session and follow-up: The board entered executive session for legal and personnel matters and reconvened without public votes on those closed items. The county manager and clerk will place several work-session items on the Sept. 3 agenda for final action.
