At its Nov. 4 meeting the Washington City Council authorized several property and lease actions related to the Inner Banks STEM Center, Beaufort County Community College (BCCC) and airport hangar space.
The council authorized the City Manager to execute a Facility Ground Site Lease Termination Agreement by and between the City of Washington, Inner Banks STEM Center and BCCC, noting that execution is subject to feedback and further revision from BCCC. By subsequent motions the council also authorized lease agreements between the City and Inner Banks STEM Center and between the City and BCCC, with the BCCC authorization likewise described as subject to BCCC feedback and revision.
Separately, the council authorized execution of a lease agreement with East Coast Aviation Management, LLC for Hangar P at Washington‑Warren Airport.
All recorded votes on these items were affirmative in the meeting minutes. The lease‑termination approval explicitly conditions final execution on BCCC review and revisions to the document if requested.
