Woodridge Drive resident asks council to delay vote on zoning change; item sent to committee

During public comment at the Sept. 2 North Royalton City Council meeting, Diane Schramm of 12281 Woodridge Drive said she was representing Woodridge Drive residents and asked that Ordinance 25-138 be placed on second reading and that council not vote on it that night so neighbors have time to study the proposal.
"I am here representing the residents on Woodridge Drive and I am asking that this point be placed on Second Reading and that there is no vote today," Schramm said. President Paul Marnecheck replied that the plan is to place the ordinance on second reading and refer it to the Building & Building Codes Committee. Councilmember Joanne Krejci said the committee would meet Sept. 16 at 6:00 p.m., and councilmembers confirmed residents are welcome to participate in the committee meeting.
Council followed those steps: Ordinance 25-138 was placed on second reading and referred to the Building & Building Codes Committee so committee members can hear residents and vet the proposal before any vote by full council.
