One selectman moved to accept the lowest 8‑foot vinyl quote for $6,075; the motion was seconded and passed by voice vote. The board emphasized the fence would improve aesthetics and protect utility equipment.
The board also reviewed masonry work and ramp replacement at the front of town hall, including cost estimates and an optional radiant‑heat system for the ramp. Staff said the masonry quote was $42,650, with a rental ramp option of $4,925 during construction; adding radiant heat would increase the total by about $17,650, bringing an all‑in total to roughly $65,225. The board opted not to include the heated ramp, approving masonry work plus rental ramp and associated work at a total of $47,005.75. Town staff indicated the trust fund held about $40,000–$45,000, and any shortfall would come from contingency.
One selectman asked for confirmation that accessibility and code requirements would be met and questioned tradeoffs on heated ramps versus long‑term maintenance; board members agreed the work is necessary to remain ADA compliant and to reduce future repairs.
Both votes were taken by voice and passed; the work is expected to proceed this summer, with staff to coordinate schedule and temporary accessibility (rental ramp) during construction.
