Engineer Daniel Collins told the council the field survey for the Cambridge Drive Reconstruction Project has been completed and that CAD work is expected to be finished by the end of November. Collins said he will begin design and prepare plans and specifications with the aim of bidding the project in late 2023 and starting construction in 2024.
Collins also said he has prepared a proposed informational letter to non-residential property owners about recently adopted sewer-rate increases; the final document will be posted on the Village website. Council did not vote on funding or a construction contract at the Oct. 26 meeting.
The update sets an internal schedule: complete CAD by November, finish design and specs thereafter, then proceed to bid and construction in the following calendar year. No formal project budget or bid timeline was adopted at the meeting.
