The Redevelopment Commission approved the final change order to close out the 61st Avenue & Marcella RAB improvements and accepted multiple change orders on the US 30 & Colorado safety improvements project at its May 18 meeting.
Staff reported Change Order #5 for the 61st Ave. project is a contract credit of $244,749.20 and closes out the project, subject to the normal final documentation. The commission approved the change order (motion: Mark Kara; second: Kelly Clemens; vote 5-0).
For the US 30 & Colorado safety improvements, the commission approved three change orders addressing additional mobilizations for utility work, additional maintenance-of-traffic (MOT) for additional work, and an existing pavement grade issue. The commission approved those change orders with the same motion/second and unanimous vote; staff noted Change Order #8 would be presented later.
The approvals allow staff and the contractor to finalize project accounting and proceed with required closeout steps. The commission did not discuss additional funding beyond the recorded credits and change orders at the May meeting.
