Resident raises easement, trespass concerns on Sampson Lane; staff to inspect property

At the April 20 meeting a Republic resident, Ricky Buffer, asked the council about ownership and easements near his house on Sampson Lane and said he would like to fence and gate the area to prevent people from wandering onto his property.
Clerk-Treasurer Nick Olsen explained there are ownership and easement questions regarding the area. Councilors Marty Rugo and Heather Brice and Public Works Director Todd Cole agreed to meet with Buffer next week to walk the property and assess options for fencing or other measures.
No formal action or vote was recorded; the matter was left for a staff and council site visit and further review.
