Richfield schedules 911 circuit activation and MFA rollout; planning commission to meet Jan. 27

Information Technology Director Baker said new 911 system equipment has been delivered and partly mounted in the building, that a site visit from the fiber contractor (Kinetic) was completed, and that the new circuits were scheduled to be activated on Jan. 12. Two new monitors for the system have arrived. Baker also said the department plans to implement multi-factor authentication (MFA) in the first quarter of the year to meet auditor recommendations and is soliciting security-awareness training quotes for all network-associated employees.
Planning & Zoning Director Frantz told the council the Planning & Zoning Commission will meet with zoning consultants at the Jan. 27 meeting and encouraged public participation.
