Commission clears 'Grooming by Missy' for 4131 W. Streetsboro Road; signage to be coordinated

The Richfield Planning & Zoning Commission unanimously approved a conditional zoning certificate Jan. 13 allowing Melissa Zubricky to operate a full-service dog grooming business at 4131 W. Streetsboro Road, Suite F.
Zubricky, who said she has worked in the industry for 42 years, told the commission she typically grooms about “15 to 18 dogs per day” with up to three dogs at a time and that dryers are the primary noise source. She said no dogs will be boarded overnight. Assistant Director Amy Nauer told the commission that the applicant is working with staff on temporary and permanent signage and is expected to appear before the commission on signage in February.
Director Brian Frantz recommended approval; the commission approved Case 02-2026 by unanimous roll call. Per the zoning process the conditional zoning certificate will be forwarded to council as required by the code.
